Aeroemplois is an online platform connecting professionals with aerospace industry job opportunities. It offers job listings, career guidance, industry news, and networking resources to help individuals advance their careers in aerospace.

The Goal

Aeroemploi needed a full redesign of their website to enhance user experience, improve functionality, and modernize its appearance. This involves optimizing navigation, streamlining content presentation, implementing responsive design for mobile compatibility, and integrating new features. Ultimately, the aim is to create a more engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing platform that effectively serves the needs of its users, whether they are job seekers, employers, or industry professionals.

The Challenge

The challenges of redesigning the website included balancing aesthetics with functionality, ensuring compatibility across various devices and browsers, maintaining or improving search engine optimization (SEO) rankings, migrating existing content seamlessly, and integrating new features. Additionally, addressing feedback from users and stakeholders, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget constraints. The redesign process also included addressing technical issues, such as code optimization, security enhancements, and data migration. Overall, the redesign required careful planning, effective communication, and collaboration among developers, content creators, and stakeholders.

The Process

The redesign process commenced with in-depth research and analysis, identifying key objectives and setting clear goals. Planning involved outlining the scope, timeline, and resources needed, alongside defining the target audience and crafting the website's information architecture.

Before starting any design work, I conducted an in-depth usability study. This helped me to identify the most common usability issues on the existing site, which then I categorised into major and minor groupings.

Search Functionality

The search input has been completely redesigned to help users find their desired job opportunities faster, with an 18% improvement in the CTR of job listings, indicating that users are more efficient in finding relevant results.

Emails

Aeroemploi got a 60% increase in weekly newsletter open and click-through rates thanks to a complete redesign of the emails and mailing list (22,000 subscribers)

Social media

Aeroemploi wanted a full spectrum of social media marketing for Meta's with single posting and carousels. They saw immediate CTR (Click-Through Rate) resulting in a 2.4% CTR.”

The Conclusion

In conclusion, the user-focused website redesign significantly enhance engagement and drive revenue growth for the company. By prioritizing intuitive navigation, streamlined content presentation, and responsive design, the user satisfaction and exploration increase. Clear calls-to-action strategically guide users towards desired actions, while SEO optimization and social sharing features expanded the visibility and attracted more traffic. Personalized content and targeted marketing campaigns further boost the engagement and loyalty. Continuous monitoring, user feedback, and adaptation ensure sustained improvement and competitiveness over time, leading to long-term success in driving both engagement and revenue.
